It is with a heavy heart that we share with IFCA members and friends the news that Mark Stivers passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon (Aug 30) from an apparent heart attack. Mark was with the Helena Chemical team and was serving in his eighth year on the IFCA Board of Directors as a member of the Executive Committee and as our Finance Officer.
We are so shocked and saddened at the unexpected loss of such a committed member of our industry and a friend to so many. Mark was a leader in the agrichemical distribution industry and was committed to the stewardship of agricultural inputs. It was a privilege to work with him and we are deeply grateful for his leadership, his friendship and the time he gave so willingly to the IFCA for the betterment of the industry as a whole.
Our deepest sympathies and our prayers are with his wife Davida, his son, daughter and grandaughter and his many colleagues and friends at Helena Chemical Company and throughout our industry.
Arrangements are pending at this time; we will let you know of the visitation and funeral plans as soon as we know them and also how to reach out to Mark's family. It is very difficult to accept the loss of such a fine man and words are incapable of describing the measure of sadness that we feel over losing our friend Mark.
