Through AG-SOLVE PAC, you can make a campaign contribution that supports legislators who take a leadership role in the Ag-Input Industry priorities and policies.
In other words, this is a key opportunity for you to help advance our initiatives and protect our industry.
What is the AG-SOLVE PAC?
- AG-SOLVE is a Political Action Committee(PAC). AG-SOLVE will support policies that are Important to the ag input industry.
- Most of the AG-SOLVE contributing members are also Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA)
Advocating
We advocate for issues that directly affect and impact the ag-input industry to be profitable:
- Waters of the US (WOTUS)
- GMO Labeling
- OHSA’s PSM Rule
- Taxes
- State Budget
- Neonic / Seed Treatments
Educating Legislators
As you know, for every legislator who understands agriculture and supports the Ag-Input indusry, there is one who does not have any experience with our industry. Even for those with an agricultural background, the rapidly changing landscape of our industry can make it challenging to stay up to date. This only increases the importance of educating our legislators. We want to ensure that our legislators not only listen but also help advocate issues in a way that benefits the Illinois Ag-Input industry.
Objectives
- To promote and strive for the improvement of government by encouraging, motivating and educating the Illinois Ag-Input industry and other to take an active and in carrying out their civic responsibilities and/or to actively support such goals and efforts.
- To encourage and assist our members and other to understand the nature, organization and actions of their government; to understand important political issues; and to evaluate and understand the philosophies and records of local and state holders and candidates for elective office.
- To collect and make expenditures of political contributions for the purpose of furthering the candidacy of such representatives for nomination or election to such local and state office and otherwise supporting the legislative agenda of the Illinois ag-input industry.
- To support or engage necessary or desirable in the attainment of the objectives stated above or other purposes adopted by the trustees and deemed worthy of such action.
