Pat Hodges of Squibb Taylor
Our hearts were broken this past weekend when we learned of the sudden passing of Pat Hodges with Squibb Taylor.
Pat was larger than life in so many ways: in his knowledge of the compressed gas industry, in his relationships with distributors, in his passion to help ag retailers and in his dedication to education and safety in the anhydrous ammonia and propane industry. For IFCA this is a huge loss. Pat was always assisting us on ammonia issues, whether it was safety training, reviewing proposed state regulations, trouble-shooting equipment issues and developing new innovations to improve equipment function and operation. He did it all with warmth, with laughter and joshing, and with a huge Texas heart. He never missed MAGIE or the convention and always made the IFCA staff feel special. We are quite sure he made everyone feel that way.
We don't have any details about arrangements for Pat or the wishes of his family at this difficult time for them. Please keep his wife Teresa, his children and his grandchildren in your prayers. His colleagues at Squibb Taylor, where he has worked since 1974, are devasted as are his many friends in the compressed gas industry throughout North America. We had just featured Pat in our summer newsletter in the "Member Spotlight." If you didn't get a chance to read about Pat's life, the article is here. He truly had a wonderful life and so many things in our industry are better, and safer, because of him.
