As Illinois farmers consider planting the RR 2 Xtend(tm) soybean trait this spring, it is imperative to the industry as a whole that we diligently uphold the stewardship obligations associated with herbicide use on these new traits.  IFCA worked with the Illinois Department of Agriculture and the University of Illinois Extension on the attached bulletin that provides factual information on the penalties for any off-label use of dicamba herbicides with these traits.  Please share this information with your customers to ensure that our industry upholds these stewardship principles; it will go a long way in ensuring the future use of these traits in managing weeds and the public trust in our ability to respect and uphold the law as outlined in the Illinois Pesticide Act.
