4R Code of Practice and 4R CCA Certification Press Release

Today, much of Illinois is going to be learning and talking about fertilizer.  IFCA Chairman Brian Waddell and Jean Payne are attending an event in Tuscola, IL regarding a statewide announcement of the Cronus Nitrogen plant.  And because there will be so much attention on fertilizer, IFCA and the Illinois CCA program are releasing the press release below on the new 4R CCA certification program and the IFCA 4R Code of Practice.  This is a great day for the fertilizer industry to continue to demonstrate our commitment and leadership on nutrient stewardship and provide education to the public about the importance of fertilizer to food production and food security.

Details on the 4R CCA Certification and 4R Code of Practice will be forthcoming and featured at the UI Ag Masters Conference and the Illinois CCA meeting in December and the IFCA convention in January.  In the meantime, please direct questions to Jean Payne or Lisa Martin and we ask for your assistance in spreading the word about nutrient stewardship and industry efforts to reduce nutrient losses to minimize environmental impact, optimize harvest yield and maximize input utilization.
