UI Welcomes New Agronomist Dr. Cameron Pittelkow

In another strong indication of Illinois agriculture's dedication to our crop production industry, the University of Illinois Department of Crop Sciences has hired a new Assistant Professor of Agronomy, Dr. Cameron Pittelkow.  His role will include teaching, research and extension responsibilities related to nutrient management, efficient crop production, and helping the industry strike a balance between productive, profitable agriculture and minimizing environmental impacts.  Click here for a press release to learn more about Dr. Pittelkow.  IFCA welcomes him to Illinois and looks forward to working closely with  him on innovative research and educational efforts.  Dr. Pittelkow expressed his excitement about taking this position in this way:  "There's already a great deal of momentum in Illinois focused on nutrient management issues, particularly with nitrogen fertilizers, and I'm very happy to be joining that process, working with the many partnerships and programs that are tackling these big issues facing agriculture."   Welcome to Illinois Cameron!
