We were very sorry to learn that IFCA member Bernie Henkel of LaSalle, IL died unexpectedly of a heart attack last week at the age of 53.  Bernie spent his career in the agribusiness industry, working for Meriden Grain, and having also worked for Van Orin Cooperative (now Northern Partners).   Bernie was an active member of the IFCA and had a terrific outlook on life and sense of humor.  We will miss him a great deal and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his friends and colleagues at Meriden Grain and throughout the northern Illinois agrichemical industry.  Bernie's visitation is tonight at Seneca's Oak Ridge in LaSalle.  For more information and to send on-line condolences please go to http://hurstfuneralhomes.com.
