A great friend of Illinois agriculture and of the IFCA is retiring.  Dr. Robert Hoeft, who has dedicated 40 years to excellence in Soil Fertility Extension, as Head of the Department of Crop Sciences, and recently as the Interim Association Dean of Extension, will be retiring at the end of August.  IFCA will be helping to honor Dr. Hoeft at a retirement reception on campus on August 30th, and we are sure he would also love to hear from the many people in our industry who have known him and learned from him over the last four decades.   You can send Bob an email by clicking here or at rhoeft@illinois.edu.  To honor Bob's contributions to our industry, the IFCA Board of Directors voted to establish an annual "Robert G Hoeft" scholarship in soil fertility for a UI undergraduate pursuing this vital field of study.  IFCA expresses our heartfelt thanks to Bob for his leadership in soil fertility and crop production and his strong support for the mission of the IFCA.  Best wishes in your retirement Dr. Hoeft!
