APRIL 26 WEBINAR: UPDATE ON N-WATCH PROGRAM

On Friday, April 26 at 8:30 a.m., the Illinois Council on Best Management Practices will host a one hour webinar for agricultural retailers providing the latest results on the N-WATCH Soil Nitrate Testing Program.  CBMP launched the N-WATCH program in October 2012 following the drought, to inventory residual nitrogen.  Many ag retailers participated in the inaugural webinar back in October and pulled soil samples for N-WATCH last fall and this spring to track the movement of the residual nitrate, and in some cases to track fall applied nitrogen in ammonium form and assess its conversion status.

At 8:30 am on Friday, you are invited to participate in a new webinar to learn the latest on N-WATCH and what it means in terms of utilizing this information in making nitrogen management decisions.  N-WATCH is a new tool that will enable the industry to better evalute nitrogen management programs to minimize environmental impact, optmize harvest yield and maximize input utilization.  Dr. Howard Brown and Dan Schaefer of CBMP will present the latest N-WATCH results and answer questions on the program.  IFCA will apply for 1 CEU of soil & water credit for those attending the webinar.
