IFCA and University of Illinois Host Fall Fertilizer Management Webinar
IFCA recently joined the University of Illinois farmdoc team for a webinar focused on fall fertilizer management decisions. The discussion brings together university expertise, industry insight and practical on-farm experience to examine the agronomic and economic considerations influencing fertilizer applications this fall.
Topics include fall nitrogen application timing and the 50-degree soil temperature guideline, the effectiveness of nitrification inhibitors, and findings from on-farm nitrogen rate trials. Panelists also discuss the economics of nitrogen management using Maximum Return to Nitrogen (MRTN) recommendations, phosphorus and potassium management strategies, and fertility considerations for winter wheat.
The webinar offers perspectives from university research, economics and practical farming experience to help growers and ag retailers make informed fertilizer management decisions.
