The Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA) is saddened to learn of the passing of Terry Dolan, a longtime agricultural industry leader, former Catlin businessman and mayor, and one of the true pioneers of our association.

 

Terry will be remembered by many for his distinguished career in sales with Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan (PCS), where he developed lasting friendships and relationships across Illinois agriculture. His dedication to the industry extended far beyond his professional career through decades of leadership and service to IFCA.

 

Terry was the last remaining member of the original IFCA Board of Directors and served as Chairman of the Midwest Ag Industry Exposition (MAGIE) from its inception throughout the years it was held in Danville, Illinois. His vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment helped establish MAGIE as one of the premier agricultural industry events in the Midwest, creating a legacy that continues to benefit the agricultural community today.

 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Danville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Church of the Holy Trinity. Burial will follow at the Danville National Cemetery.

 

For those unable to attend the visitation or funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Pollywog Association Clubhouse, 16015 N. 920 Road East, Oakwood, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catlin Historical Society or the Church of the Holy Trinity.
