Remembering Jim Hill: IFCA Member, Industry Leader, and Scholarship Foundation Founder

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of longtime IFCA member and respected industry leader, James D. "Jim" Hill, who passed away recently at the age of 83.

Jim dedicated his career to the fertilizer industry and was associated with the Henry Fertilizer Plant since 1988, remaining active in the industry until this spring. Throughout his life, he was a passionate advocate for agriculture and agricultural education.

Jim was not only a valued member of the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association, but also a founding member of the Midwest Agricultural Scholarship Foundation. Through his leadership and commitment, the Foundation has provided scholarships to countless students pursuing careers in agribusiness, helping to strengthen the future of our industry.

Many past IFCA members will also remember Jim as a regular and familiar face at the Living Legends Breakfast, where he enjoyed reconnecting with friends and colleagues and sharing stories from a lifetime in agriculture.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim will be remembered for his quick wit, his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and his unwavering devotion to family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend whose impact extended far beyond the workplace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Lynn, their family, and all who knew and loved him.
