It is with sadness that we share the passing of Jeffrey "Jeff" Foster, a longtime member of Illinois agriculture and a valued friend to many throughout our industry.

Jeff dedicated more than 40 years to the agricultural retail business, working alongside his father, John Foster, at Peine, Inc. in Minier. Throughout his career, he was known for his commitment to serving farmers, building lasting relationships, and supporting Illinois agriculture. At the time of his passing, Jeff was employed by Hopedale Ag, where he continued his passion for serving the agricultural community.

The Foster family has a long history of leadership and involvement with IFCA. Jeff's father, John Foster, served as Chairman of the IFCA Board of Directors from 1997–1998, and the family's contributions to Illinois agriculture have had a lasting impact on both our industry and association.

On behalf of the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association, we extend our deepest condolences to Jeff's family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Jeff's contributions to agriculture, along with the Foster family's longstanding commitment to IFCA and the agricultural community, will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
