One More Week to Nominate a Custom Applicator

IFCA is pleased to continue the Illinois Custom Applicator of the Year for the fifth year. Thank you to the overwhelming response from our retail members who submitted nomination forms last year, we knew we had to continue the program to recognize even more outstanding applicators across Illinois. The nomination forms were narrowed down to 4 finalists for 2025 with the winner being announced at the MAGIE show in August. The finalists were:
  • Jeff Reffett – Nutrien Ag Solutions, Galesburg, IL
  • Cody Miller – United Prairie, Cowden, IL
  • Ed Smith – West Central FS, Adair, IL
  • Clint Royer – West Central FS, West Point, IL

Jeff Reffett was the 2025 Illinois Custom Applicator of the Year.

With that said, we need your help. You are the ones that know your custom applicators the best, so we need your nomination forms submitted as soon as possible. There is no limit to the number of nominations a nominator can submit but each one must be a different custom applicator. We will not accept nominations from those that nominate themselves. Nominators must be from a company that is a member of IFCA. Candidates must be an ag retail operator whose primary job is operating application equipment. If you submitted a nomination form last year and they were not the overall winner, you may nominate them again.

Please use this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Applicator2026 to submit your nomination(s).  We need some information about the nominator and the custom applicator.  The nominator also needs to answer four questions about the custom applicator. This will help our nominating committee narrow the applications down to the top four finalists. The deadline for nominating is April 15th so please hurry in submitting a form.

The four finalists will attend the MAGIE show on Wednesday, August 26th where the overall winner will be announced.

Help us to continue to make this program a big success by submitting your forms—I’m really looking forward to reading them all over the next month!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
