Dicamba Information for Over-the-Top Soybean Use
On February 6, 2026, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted new federal registrations for three dicamba herbicides labeled for OTT use in dicamba-tolerant soybeans: Engenia® (BASF), Stryax™ (Bayer), and Tavium® (Syngenta). These registrations allow use of the products for the 2026 and 2027 growing seasons, subject to updated label requirements and additional mitigation measures intended to reduce off-target movement. The products are classified as Restricted Use Pesticides and may only be applied by certified applicators.
Because the new registrations include updated labels, new application requirements, and additional federal and state-level restrictions, it is important for applicators to stay informed about the latest guidance.
IFCA maintains a dedicated Dicamba Information page with current product labels, summaries of federal and Illinois requirements, regulatory timelines, cutoff dates, training information, and other compliance resources related to dicamba use in soybeans.
Visit the page below (can be found on the IFCA homepage under “Training” tab, “Illinois Dicamba Training”) for the latest dicamba updates and guidance for Illinois applicators and retailers.
