IFCA joined a letter to House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior and Environment leaders this week. The letter supported FY26 funding for the EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) at the statutorily required level of $166m. The letter notes that President Trump’s proposed budget acknowledges the backlog of pesticide reviews at OPP and recognizes that funding alone will not address the challenges facing OPP, but that structural and process improvements are needed to restore predictability and performance. The Subcommittee scheduled a markup for next week.
