If you will be applying pesticides to water this spring, you will most likely need a NPDES permit from IEPA.  Certain other application activities may also trigger a NPDES permit such as mosquito spraying.  Illinois EPA administers this program.  They have provided a powerpoint presentation that walks you through the process to help you determine if you will need a permit, and IFCA has also developed a fact sheet on the program.  These are all posted on our website, please click here  http://ifca.com to reach our home page.  Pesticide application made to crops in accordance with the pesticide label will NOT need a NPDES permit.
