The Senate was in session this week while the House took the week off, a reversal from last week. Members of the Senate focused on moving a handful of bills that received deadline extensions through committees and address issues on the Senate floor. Most of the action took place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week while both chambers are expected to work a full week next week, ahead of next Friday's Third Reading deadline.

While the House was not in session this week, the chamber held a handful of subject matter hearings focused on ethics, higher education, and appropriation. 

 

IFCA will hold a legislative reception on May 6th with the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois. More details will be coming next week.
