CCA’s Now Eligible to Become a Technical Service Provider (TSP)
Reminder to CCA’s to explore this new opportunity to become a Technical Service Provider (TSP) and be eligible to provide this service to your customers and clients. Illinois has numerous RCPP projects in the state and is in need of additional TSP’s. As a Certified Crop Adviser or Certified Professional Soil Scientist, you now have the ability to become a Technical Services Provider, or TSP, with the USDA's National Resources Conservation Service.
To become registered as a TSP, you will need to take an online orientation course, which grants 3.5 CEUs, and complete a form. Once those are complete, USDA will be informed, which they will then provide you with a signed agreement and add you to a TSP list available to landowners. Choosing not to become a TSP will have no impact on your status as a CCA or CPSS.
IFCA supports and encourages any CCA who is interested in becoming a Technical Service Provider. If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to IFCA.
