IFCA Seeking Host PAT Locations
IFCA is partnering with The Asmark Institute to schedule Pesticide Applicator Training (PAT) courses throughout Illinois the week of August 6, 2012. This new course is an innovative approach and includes classroom and hand-on training with many interactive tools. It is taught by an expert in the field, Dr. Bob Wolf of Kansas State University. The course costs only $220 per person and participants leave with a complete applicator manual, personal protective equipment, calculator, record box and certificate of completion. CCA credits will be available upon completion of the PAT course. Four host locations have already been chosen at IFCA member facilities the week of March 5, 2012 and we would like to offer four more courses throughout Illinois the week of August 6, 2012.
An ideal PAT host facility will have a shop with electrical and water hook up close by. The classes are limited to 30 registrants; Asmark will bring chairs and tables as well as provide lunch. Class size is limited to 30 students and will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you agree to host the PAT you are assured that your applicators will have a seat in the course. For a detailed description of class material, please visit https://www.asmark.org/TrainingCourses/ and click on information.

Dr. Bob Wolf will be at the IFCA Convention January 17-19 and will have a booth displaying the features of the PAT course, and can answer any questions you have about this new training program. Please contact Kevin at the IFCA office if you would like to host one of the August 2012 classes.
