IFCA Lobbies Washington and Springfield This Week

Over the past week IFCA has been lobbying on behalf of the industry in Washington DC and in Springfield. Starting out the week, IFCA participated in the AG Retailer Association winter fly-in to speak to members on Capitol Hill about critical issues affecting the industry. A group of ten AG retailers from across Illinois lobbied Capitol Hill. Major discussion was held on the farm bill, transportation, truck driver shortages and pesticide legislation.

On Wednesday, IFCA teamed up with the Illinois Soybean Association to host a legislative rally at the Illinois State Capitol. Good discussions took place on how major pesticide issues would affect ag retailers and farmers across the state. There was also discussion on how harmful HB1634 (California truck emissions) would be to the industry.
