After passing a fourth continuing resolution last week to avoid a government shutdown, Congress released the final text this Sunday detailing funding for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other programs of interest. It is expected to head to President Biden’s desk for signature before the end of this week. The final numbers for the Office of Pesticide Program were lower than what was previously included in House and Senate Appropriations bills. The total funding for PRIA-related activities for FY 24 is $134.27 million, a six million decrease from FY 2023. PRIA is the program that registers all new pesticides that come to the market.
