Mississippi River Water Level Update

A status update on the Mississippi River from the Army Corps of Engineers announced there are no draft restrictions on the Mississippi River for the third week, and they are not dredging for low water. The full announcement by the Army Corps of Engineers can be accessed here. The rebound in water levels on the Mississippi River is because of snow melt and other precipitation over the past 5-6 weeks have supplied additional water to the system. One can observe a significant increase in water levels – especially in Memphis – from the extreme low conditions in the fall.
