The National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report on Wednesday listing details of the roadway incident that occurred on September 29, 2023, near Teutopolis, IL that resulted in the release of anhydrous ammonia. Additionally, five people in the area of the crash died and eleven others sustained injuries ranging from minor to severe due to their exposure to anhydrous ammonia.
