In the state of Illinois, custom applicators spend endless hours in the field every year applying fertilizer and chemicals on thousands of acres. There are many outstanding custom applicators who deserve a “thank you” from all of those involved in the agriculture industry.  For this reason, IFCA is pleased to announce the return of the Illinois Custom Applicator of the Year for our Illinois ag retailers and their custom applicators. Each week leading up to MAGIE, we will be featuring one of the four finalists for the award.
 
This week we will be highlighting Alex Tarr. Alex is from Mangolia, IL, and works for Ag View FS out of Varna. He has thirteen years of service and annually sprays a whopping 42,000 acres. Alex is a very competitive person and always strives to do the very best job that he can. Alex cares about his reputation, so he begins every workday extra early to ensure he and his machine are prepared to put in a long day’s work. When Alex isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, working with his cattle, hunting, and fishing.

The four finalists will be attending the MAGIE show on Wednesday, August 23rd where the overall winner will be announced during the Tailgate Party. We look forward to seeing everyone at the show!
