In the state of Illinois, custom applicators spend endless hours in the field every year applying fertilizer and chemicals on thousands of acres. There are many outstanding custom applicators who deserve a “thank you” from all of those involved in the agriculture industry.  For this reason, IFCA is pleased to announce the return of the Illinois Custom Applicator of the Year for our Illinois ag retailers and their custom applicators. Each week leading up to MAGIE, we will be featuring one of the four finalists for the award.
 
This week we will be highlighting Jamie Pennock. Jamie is from Pittsfield, IL, and works for Logan Agri-Service out of Griggsville. He has over twenty-three years of service and annually sprays 25,000 acres. Jamie takes pride in showing up very early every day and servicing his rig to ensure it is ready to go prior to consulting others at his location about the day’s work. Jamie has also had a hand in helping train nearly every applicator at his company in proper application techniques and tried to instill in them the importance of doing their best in every job for their customers.

The four finalists will be attending the MAGIE show on Wednesday, August 23rd where the overall winner will be announced during the Tailgate Party. We look forward to seeing everyone at the show!
