NREC Cooperator Receives Brandt Prize for Ag Entrepreneurism
Eric Miller, a farmer in Piatt County, was recently the recipient of the Glen “GB” Brandt Prize for Ag Entrepreneurism. The $10,000 award is given to a grower who exemplifies an entrepreneurial spirit and advances innovation through their business practices. IFCA’s Director of Nutrient Stewardship, Dan Schaefer, has been working side by side with Eric on his farm researching NREC (Nutrient Research and Education Council) funded projects for close to a decade, and IFCA is happy to see Eric awarded for his efforts in studying agricultural best management practices.
