IFCA Working Capitol Hill

IFCA visited Washington DC this week along with our national organization, the Ag Retailers Association. While there, we informed Members of Congress of issues that affect the ag retail industry.  Several good conversations took place with the Illinois congressional delegation, ranging from entry-level driving training, labor shortages, the farm bill and the H2A program.

IFCA also thanked members of congress for passing the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) towards the end of last year.  PRIA creates a registration service fee system for applications for specified pesticide registration, amended registration, and associated tolerance actions, which set maximum residue levels for food and feed. PRIA is very important to the industry, and we are happy that many of the Illinois Congressional Delegation supported this legislation.
