The House returned to Springfield on Tuesday for two brief days of session. Representatives were briefly on the floor each day with no substantive action occurring aside from the reading of appointment messages and the first reading of bills. The Senate was not in session this week.
 
The Senate legislation drafting deadline was on January 27th and the House legislation deadline is today. The introduction deadline for substantive Senate bills is February 10th while the House deadline is February 17th.   
 
IFCA is still watching for any major pieces of legislation that could affect the industry. We should have a better understanding of what is getting introduced by the end of next week. We will keep our members informed of any legislation that will affect the ag input industry.
 
Both the Senate and House will be in session next week on Tuesday through Thursday.
