Republicans Select House Ag Members
The Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee is anxious to get to work on the next Farm Bill now that Republicans selected their new ag committee members late last week.
Chairman GT Thompson stated that he would like establish bipartisan Farm Bill listening sessions in many regions between February and July and have the Farm Bill pieces in place by late summer. The current farm bill expires in September.
Congresswoman Mary Miller from Illinois was the only Republican selected to the ag committee. Democrats are expect to release their members for the committee next week.
