IFCA Signs Chlorpyrifos Objections and Neonic Draft Extension Request

IFCA recently signed onto two different coalition letters that are being sent to USEPA.  The first letter is regarding USEPA revoking all tolerances for the insecticide chlorpyrifos. Based on these objections, IFCA urge USEPA to rescind the final rule revoking tolerances and consider continued agricultural uses of chlorpyrifos under its ongoing, normal-order registration review of chlorpyrifos.

The second letter is making a request for a comment period extension for “National Level Threatened and Endangered Species Biological Evaluations for Clothianidin, Imidacloprid and Thiamethoxam”.  IFCA is requesting a 45-day extension of the comment period for the draft BEs (Biological Evaluations) for these three chemistries.

IFCA will keep our members informed on any changes with these two issues.
