Today is the first day for the annual pesticide container recycling program.  IFCA thanks IDA for organizing this program and all of our retail members who host the recycling events.  To see the list of locations and the schedule, click here.  There is no charge to bring clean, triple-rinsed non-bulk pesticide containers to these events. 

 

If you have portable refillable containers (PRCs) that also need to be recycled, IDA and the recycling company can accept certain containers provided they are triple-rinse, all metal is removed and the plastic is cut up into manageable pieces.  BUT YOU MUST CALL OR EMAIL IDA if you want to bring PRCs to these events.  If you are interested in bringing PRCs to the events please email Rick Severns at Richard.Severns@illinois.gov or leave a voice mail for Rick at (217) 785-2427 and he will call you back.  You must be pre-approved to bring cut-up PRC (minibulks) to these events.
