Industry Mourns Two Pioneers

We take this moment to remember Norma Jean Peine of Minier, IL who passed away last week at the age of 86.  Norma and her husband Robert were the founders of Peine Inc. in Minier, a long-standing IFCA member.  After Robert was killed in an auto accident in the late 1960's Norma stayed engaged in the business, working as the plant secretary for over 20 years.  We also remember Melvin Bell of Morton, who passed away at age 78.  He was the CEO of Bell Enterprises in Deer Creek, a business heavily involved in UAN and anhydrous ammonia business.  Both of these fine people dedicated their lives to agribusiness and helped create successful businesses that live on today.
