The FMCSA has extended the waiver for expiring CDL licenses and endorsements until September 30, 2020 to provide additional time for drivers and state motor vehicles offices to handle the backlog in CDL license and endorsement expirations that occurred during the pandemic.  The extension was previously set to expire on June 30, 2020.  To see the letter from FMCSA announcing the extension click here.  

 

Illinois Secretary of State driver service offices are now open, and we encourage all CDL drivers to go about getting your medical cards, endorsements and licenses renewed as soon as practical.  Many doctors are now accept CDL medical appointments again, so please don't wait until the last minute to get all of your required renewals done prior to September 30.
