The IFCA Board of Directors and staff has made the difficult decision to cancel MAGIE 2020.  The show was scheduled for August 26-27 at the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington, IL.  

 

There are a variety of reasons for cancelling the show, all of them due to the changes brought to our lives by COVID-19.  The main reason is we simply can't guarantee a safe environment for the "ride and drive" experience that only MAGIE offers--it's impossible to stay 6 feet apart in the cab of a sprayer or floater.  That fact, combined with the uncertainty of hosting a mass gathering under the "Restore Illinois" plan and the reality of curtailed travel policies enacted not just by the companies who exhibit but also by our retail members, makes it too difficult to have the type of MAGIE show we all expect and enjoy.  No one will miss MAGIE more than your IFCA staff, who enjoys planning this event and seeing our members and many guests from around the country.  It is also a painful loss of revenue for the IFCA, but we will tighten our belts and survive just as so many other companies and citizens are doing.  We are very grateful to be working in an essential industry that provides ag inputs and services to the farmers to make the 2020 crop possible.    

 

MAGIE 2021 is scheduled for August 25-26, 2021 at the McLean County Fairgrounds and will be the 40th MAGIE show.  Can you believe it!  MAGIE 2021 will be everything IFCA has always meant it to be:  a show dedicated to the ag retailers and the applicators and operators who work hard for the success of their farmer-customers, and who deserve an event featuring equipment designed to make them more successful and efficient, mixed with generous hospitality and fun.  That's the MAGIE we deserve and that's what we are looking forward to in August 2021.

 

But MAGIE 2020 will be one to remember anyway!  IFCA is planning a fun platform for our exhibitors and members to send us short MAGIE videos that could feature products that would have been at the show, what you like most about MAGIE, your favorite MAGIE moment or what you look forward to in 2021.  We will feature these short and fun videos in August on IFCA's social media (Facebook and Twitter); watch for details on this soon from IFCA.
