Update on Field Crop Training and Testing
As over 400 people are taking the field crop exam in Peoria today. Wow. We just want to thank you again for rising to the challenge of this significant regulatory burden imposed by the new dicamba labels.
There are still openings for the field crop training and testing clinic in Utica this Friday, Jan 18. You can also still sign up for the training at Carterville on Jan 25, the IFCA convention on Jan 29 and for the final class in Champaign on February 11. All four of these field crop training clinics were added to the schedule thanks to the partnership between IFCA, the University of Illinois and the Department of Agriculture: we worked together to make this possible.
Remember that you can take any pesticide category test at any time by making an appointment at the Illinois Department of Ag, just call 217.785.2427. To register for the field crop training at Utica, Carterville or Champaign please call 800.644.2123 or go to https://web.extension.illinois.edu/psep/training/commercial/ To attend the class at the IFCA convention please call us at (309) 827-2774.
Dicamba classroom training is in full force and classes are listed at www.ifca.com/Illinoisdicambatraining. At some point on-line training provided by the registrants will also be available, but we don't know yet know when. IFCA encourages you to attend a classroom event for your applicators, either by going to one of the scheduled classes or by contacting one of the registrants to inquire about them offering a training class for your applicators.
