Today, Dec 4, there is a diamba training class following the private applicator clinic in Utica, IL at Celebrations 150.  The class runs from 3-4:30 pm.  IFCA would like to thank BASF for providing a trainer; we worked with UI and IDA to coordinate training events at all the upcoming private applicator clinics.  

 

To see the list of available classroom training events, go to the IFCA Dicamba Training website.  Anyone can attend these classes free of charge, and there is no exam.

 

Please help spread the word.  Many applicators incorrectly believe that last year's dicamba training suffices for this year and IT DOES NOT.  The labels require applicators to attend annual training.  The dicamba registrants also plan to have on-line training available at some point, but the classroom training enables interaction and Q & A on the new label requirements, so we encourage applicators to attend.  

 

The Field Crop clinics are also filing up fast.  The Field Crop clinic in Champaign on January 8 is almost full and Mt. Vernon on Dec 20 is full.  There is a field crop clinic in Sandwich on Thursday this week, and there are seats available there.  Please don't delay in getting registered to attend a field crop clinic.  In the commercial sector, those who apply dicamba to soybeans must be a certified commercial applicator meaning you have to have successfully passed both the general standards and field crop exams.  To order field crop training books and to register for a field crop training clinic, click here.  We will also offer a field crop clinic at the IFCA Convention on January 29.
