It's a rare event, but yesterday the Illinois legislature approved a budget and adjourned for the season on schedule.  IFCA has a strong presence at the State Capitol to ensure that legislators are aware of the issues that impact our members, and we also field many questions throughout the session on issues that pop up regarding pesticide and fertilizer use.  This year, there was once again no onerous legislation passed that would be detrimental to our industry.  That is not luck, it is proof of hard work and the trusted relationships with have built with legislators, environmental groups and fellow ag associations and due to support from our members who contribute to Ag-Solve, our political action arm.  Thank you!  Click here to see the bills we were working on this year and how they turned out.  There are a few that are good for the industry including some trucking legislation.  Please call KJ Johnson with any questions about legislative issues.
