Illinois State Fair names new manager
A 25-year-old southern Illinois native who has worked for the state Department of Agriculture for three years has been named the new manager of the Illinois State Fair.
Luke Sailer, who lives in Chatham, was appointed the Ag department’s Division Manager of Fair and Promotional Services, which oversees the state fairs in Springfield and Du Quoin; business services; and county fairs and horse racing. He replaces Kevin Gordon who retired at the end of last year after leading the fair in 2016 and 2017.
