Finding the right combination of form, timing and additives for nitrogen applications can be perplexing.

 

A multi-year research project funded by the Illinois Nutrient Research and Education Council and led by Emerson Nafziger, University of Illinois Extension agronomist, is aimed at finding answers to the nitrogen puzzle.

 

Nafziger provided his research findings thus far at the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association convention Jan. 16. His research across multiple fields and locations around Illinois will continue in 2018.
