This past year, the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) required re-registration in the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program. In the ag industry, this impacts mostly ammonia facilities.  Now that most IIFCA members have completed the re-registration process, they are learning that their facility may be bumped into a higher risk category, requiring additional secuirty measurers at the facility.  Given the sensitive nature of the CFATS rule, IFCA has asked DHS to make a presentation at the IFCA convention on January 16 to explain the program and what is expected if you require additional security measures.  If you have questions about CFATS please contact John at IFCA.
