Dr. Nafziger at the University of Illinois has summarized findings from the 2016 Nitrogen Rate Trials, many of which were organized and implemented by IFCA's Dan Schaefer, who works closely with UI to help facilitate on-farm research funded by NREC.  Click here to access the latest UI bulletin and learn about nitrogen uptake in 2016, and thoughts on 2017.  IFCA will  post the response curves from the 2016 N Rate Trials soon on our "Keep it 4R Crop" tools on our website.  Be sure to attend the IFCA convention on January 17, 2016 to learn details on nitrogen management, research on 4R systems and water quality, outreach efforts, and other important work that NREC is funding to ensure sound science remains the foundation of nutrient recommendations and nutrient policy in Illinois.
