IFCA's Summer Keep it 4R Crop Report
Click here to access the Summer IFCA Keep it 4R Crop Report, where we provide an update on our 4R activities and feature the Ag Retailer in Action, John Musser of Stephenson Service Company.
This summer report features an update (and graphs) of the nitrate levels in the major drinking water lakes including Springfield, Decatur, Vermilion and Bloomington. It's an interesting story. We started the year with a serious challenge, but with great management and crop utilization, the N levels adjusted to something we can feel good talking about. IFCA shares this report with environmental groups, agency officials, other ag groups and water supply and water treatment agencies to keep everyone informed of our continued proactive efforts to manage nutrients effectively and reduce nutrient losses. This program is facilitated by funding from NREC. If you have questions please call Jean or Dan and please share this report as it contains very positive news about the efforts of the IFCA and our ag retail members to meet the goals of the Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy. You can also find the summer and spring reports at www.ifca.com. If you want to be featured as the Ag Retailer in Action for the fall report, please contact Jean Payne.
