IFCA Hosting DOT Compliance Workshop Aug 31
Do you want to fully understand the myriad of regulations that pertain to the transportation of agricultural products and equipment? Well yes we all would! That's why IFCA is bringing all the regulatory experts from the Illinois State Police, Federal Highway Administration, Illinois Secretary of State, Illinois DOT Traffic Safety Division and the Illinois Department of Ag to the Asmark Agricenter in Bloomington IL on August 31. Click here for the agenda for this workshop.
You will get a thorough explanation and review of the regulations for licensing, what they look for in a roadside safety check, the federal rules that apply (or don't apply), what records you need to keep and also how the new anhydrous ammonia regulations factor into the transportation of ammonia nurse wagons on the highway and other aspects of the new NH3 rules. It's a great event where all the agency experts will be together in once place to interact directly with you. We'll also have equipment on display for hands-on walk through explanations of the various vehicle combinations and safety requirements for the legal transportation of agricultural equipment. And let's finally clear up who needs a CDL, hazmat endorsement, etc for transporting various combinations on the road.
We would like to have 50 participants to have a good turnout, and we only have 15 so far. Please email leslief@ifca.com or call us at (309) 827.2774 to register. The cost is $35 per person and includes a cook-out for lunch where you can socialize with your peers and the agency personnel. Spread the word....this is a great educational opportunity and also reinforces the strong working relationship that IFCA has with our regulatory agencies.
