With the Process Safety Management Rules still on track for October 1, 2016, IFCA continues to work closely with the Illinois Department of Agriculture to finalize the changes to the Illinois Anhydrous Ammonia and Nitrogen Solutions regulations (Part 215).  We view the upgrades outlined in the Illinois rules as a fundamental step to helping assure that facilities will also find compliance with PSM more realistic once several new technology upgrades are in place.  Although a final copy of the Illinois rules is still pending, we expect it will be approved in June with an effective date of July 1, 2016.  To help you prepare for the main items in the new rules, we've prepared a "Highlights" document.  Click here to access the document.  Once the rules are published, we will get those out to you as well.  In the meantime please call our office anytime at (309) 827-2774 and ask to speak to John Rebholz regarding any questions on anhydrous ammonia rules and compliance.
