This year the Illinois Tier 2 filing has gone much more smoothly thanks to hard work by the folks at the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) to smooth out the bugs in the computer filing system.  As of this week, 62% of all facilities in the state that must report their chemical inventories had successfully done so.  But don't wait until the last minute!  File as soon as possible to avoid any slow down on the system.  Tier 2 reports are due by March 1, 2016 and you should also send a copy to your local LEPC and fire departments to fully comply with the Emergency Planning & Community Right to Know Act.  Your Pesticide Producing Establishment Reports for repackaging bulk pesticides is also due to USEPA by March 1.  USEPA can issue substantial fines for filing late.
