Springfield awaits details on President Obama's visit on Wednesday

The Statehouse will be closed to employees, lawmakers and staff until 10 a.m. Wednesday – the day President Barack Obama will address the legislature in the House chamber.
 
That’s according to a memo sent to House members by the office of House Speaker Michael Madigan, D-Chicago, on Friday.
 
Steve Brown, spokesman for Madigan, said he didn’t know what time the president plans to deliver his address.
 
There was no indication from the White House as of Friday afternoon about the president’s itinerary in the capital city. But Josh Earnest, the presidential press secretary, mentioned the trip Friday in his daily briefing to reporters in Washington, D.C.
