Spring Anhydrous Ammonia Safety Schools & New NH3 Rules
The IFCA & Illinois Department of Agriculture spring ammonia safety schools begin on February 24. To see all the dates and locations of the schools and to register, click here. This course will provide a 3 year competent attendant certificate issued by IDA for those who participate and pass the exam.
On a related note, IFCA continues to work closely with the IDA to finalize changes to the Illinois Anhydrous Ammonia regulations. We expect to be able to provide a final copy of the rule to our members very soon. In the meantime if you have questions about the rules, or about the Process Safety Management Regulations for anhydrous ammonia storage facilities, please call us at (309) 827-2774 and ask for Jean Payne or John Rebholz. John recently joined the Asmark Institute as the Directory of Safety and Education; he's based in Illinois and can provide assistance to all IFCA members on all issues related to anhydrous ammonia.
