New Process for Renewing Fertilizer Trailer Plates

Since the Secretary of State is no longer mailing out renewals for license plate stickers, you must develop a spreadsheet of all of your nurse tank trailers or floaters with license plates and email it to the IL SOS office in Springfield for processing.  All of these fertilizer plates, over 25,000 of them in Illinois, expire on December 31, 2015.  Here's what you need to do:

1.  Develop a spreadsheet that lists the make of the trailer or floater (i.e. Duolift, Trico, B&B, AGCO, etc), the Year manufacturered, the VIN or Trailer ID#, and the license plate number.  Note:  Only floaters that are laden with load to and from the facility to the field are required to have a license plate.

2.  Send the spreadsheet to Bill Graber at the IL SOS office in Springfield.  Do not take it to your local SOS office!  Include a contact name, phone and email of the person at your company who Bill can communicate with.  Bill's email is BGraber@ILSOS.net.  Request a delivery receipt for your email.

3.  Don't wait until December to send in your spreadhseet.  This is new to everyone and may take a while to process so be patient.  If you have questions please contact IFCA or you can the SOS Commercial Farm Truck Division at 217.557.2492.
