IFCA commends the Illinois ag retailers who have registered to participate in the Responsible Ag (RA) program!  You guys have helped the RA program meet their goal for Year 1 registrations.  RA is a voluntary, industry administered compliance assistance program to help agrichemical facilities assure you are aware and in compliance with existing federal regulations that pertain to fertilizer and agrichemical storage.  PSM rules will be incorporated into the RA program, meaning that RA provides yet another layer of assistance to you to help you in your compliance efforts.  To see a list of the Illinois ag retailers and suppliers who have signed up for Responsible Ag, click here.  Go to www.ResponsibleAg.org where you can view participants nationwide by alphabetical order, and for more information about the program and how to register.  When you register for RA, you will have the opportunity to select an auditor to come to your facility within the next 3 years to assist you in your compliance efforts, and that audit belongs to you, it is not shared with the government or anyone else--it is your tool to improve safety and security at your facility for your employees and your community.  If you have questions about RA, please contact Jean Payne or KJ Johnson.
